Survey Control Web Map
The Web map is intended to provide “one-stop shopping” for surveyors who perform property surveys in the County and must therefore submit their surveys digitally in accordance with Muscatine County’s Digital Submittal Ordinance. The Web map is viewable by any desktop browser software and can also be viewed with any tablet or smartphone mobile device using either iOS or Android mobile operating systems.
Muscatine County’s survey control monuments were re-occupied in 2014 to update their coordinates to the National Geodetic Survey’s 2011 national adjustment of the NAD83 horizontal datum. This datum adjustment is the same as that currently used by the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Real-Time Network (RTN).
